Risk & Reward Docks at Home
#36 Jacksonville, FL
101 NM in about 9 hours
We made it into Jacksonville on May 8th. The wind was strong and the tides were not in our favor. We also almost ran out of fuel 😊 We were so close to making it to our home, but the tide was too low to get thru the lock to our neighborhood. We had to take her to Palm Cove Marina that is close by. She barely made it into there. We basically had to be pulled over to the dock by a couple of people there. Our boat said she was in 0’ of water. No Bueno.
On May 11, we were finally able to get her thru our lock and for the first time since we bought her, she was docked at our house!! This was very exciting and emotional for the Captain and I. We had dreamed of this moment for a long time and it finally happened.

Now unfortunately with Covid and Lock closures up North, we are not sure when we will be continuing the adventure.
Stay Tuned…..
