Green Turtle Bay - Curve Ball

We arrived at Green Turtle on October 16th round 6pm. We left the transient docks at Paducah around 1:30PM. Nice 60 degree day. Not a whole lot of traffic of any kind. We got lucky at that Kentucky Dam. They even told us so. We only had about an hour wait and then we locked thru. It was a workout. The water was moving a lot in the lock and i had to work a little more than usual, but it was good to lock thru in such a timely manner. Everyone there seemed nice, even though we had heard other stories. Green Turtle is nice! Great place to take a break, but we are heading back home. We had cocktails with Forever Friday who had crossed their wake hours earlier and then dinner with a friend.

UPDATE: We made it back to the boat on Monday teh 28th to try and get her a bit father down the river. We had hoped to make it to Birdsong Marina. We found out that we had engine trouble upon arriving and we were not gong anywhere. Hopefully she can be looked at this week and we can be back in business soon.
