Heritage Harbor Marina

#7 Ottawa, IL Heritage Harbor Marina

We traveled about 10NM today, but it took over 5 hours.

We arrived back to teh boat after going home a few days. Our son, Robert, came with us to see what this "looping" thing is all about. We went thru one of the locks that is closing on Friday, Marseilles Lock and Dam. When we got there 4 other boats were there and waiting. They had been there a few hours. After an approx. 3 hour wait, we ended up locking thru with 6 other looper boats. The lock was no problem once in. It was very warm though.

All of us were were hot and tired (including the pups), so we were very happy when we got to Heritage Harbor.

Rascal over the waiting and the heat

Heritage Harbor did such a nice job. 4 of the boats from lock came here as well. Great place and a great restaurant! Dinner was at The Red Dog Grill. Yum! Great food! Highly recommend both this marina and the restaurant!
