Meldrum Bay - Mississagi Lighthouse
Traveled an approximate 46NM today. Nice boating weather. We arrived at the Meldrum Bay Marina. John the Harbormaster and another boater helped us dock. There were about 10 boats there. Up to the office to check in with Canadaian Authorities. No problem checing in. Pick up a phone in the office there, officer asks a coupke of questions and then you write down your entry number. Be sure and keep this!
Dinner at Meldrum Bay Inn. Wonderful as always! Highly recommend! Great service and food.
We spent 2 nights here. Second night there was only 1 other boat in the marina with us. We borrowed a car from the owner of the Inn and drove out to the Mississagi Lighthouse. We did not make it out here last year. It was nice, nice view. Glad we did it, but once is enough. There is a campground there if you are interested in camping.
Dinner second night also at the Inn. We took dessert back to the other boat that was in the marina, "Jet Stream." Bob and Marion, "Jet Stream" owners, loved it! We had a wonderful conversation with them. They are a lovely couple that have so much knowledge and information. They have been doing this a long time. Over 2600 nights anchoring. We planned to meet up with them in Little Current.
Took a wonderful bike ride and saw lots of gorgeous plants. We love this area. So peaceful. Tomorrow Gore Bay.
