Little Current – Where The Waters Begin To Flow

After 1 night in Kagawong we got an early start to Little Current. We were all a little nervous about this part of the adventure. We had multiple boaters tell us the current is usually anything but little. That is why we wanted to arrive early. It always seems things pick up later in the day. Winds, waves, currents, etc. It was another 16 nautical miles today. We arrived at the Town Docks (there are other marinas to choose from, but other boaters recommended we stay here) and had a great staff to help get us docked. No problems what so ever. The weather is finally beginning to be a bit milder as well. This said, the winds and current picked up big time one evening prompting us to add lines to our docking and keeping close watch for problems.

This town has a bit more to offer. There are restaurants, little shops, a gym (Elite Training), and even a grocery store (Foodland) that will deliver your groceries to your boat. Thanks DeeDee! You are the best! We had multiple meals at The Anchor Inn and highly recommend it for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or just drinks. You can also watch the cruise ships come in and out. Pearl Mist and Victory 1 are regulars.

Watching the sunset over the Little Current Swing Bridge (the bridge tender monitors channel 14) from the back of our boat was truly spectacular.

We also met some greats boats with great crews! We enjoyed talking to you Carousel, Bandit Too, Knot Inn, and Stitches!
