We arrived at Gore Bay July 2, 2018. It was approximately 32 nautical miles from Meldrum Bay. We stayed at the Gore Bay Marina which has lots to offer. The weather was quite humid but temps were only in the 80’s. No Drama and Karen Kay were here as well.

More restaurant options to choose from here. We tried out Bouy, which had local entertainment playing while we were there. We also tried out Split Rail Brewing. Be sure and get a pizza from the pizza truck outside of Split Rail to go with your beer. One of the best pizzas we have ever had!

If you have access to bikes (or just want to walk) I recommend riding down to the Janet Head Lighthouse. It is a nice ride, little auto traffic. Along the way you may get to see some wildlife and flowers. We saw deer, ducks, loons, butterflies, and we were warned about a skunk up ahead, but we never saw him. Only smelled him 😊
